Many of you have been hearing about “the Internet”. You may be wondering, how can I make the Internet work for me? How do I unlock its secrets? The Internet can provide many opportunities for the young artist. The White House proudly presents a magical workshop presentation by Zeesy Powers to reveal these mysteries.

Each week we will build on the previous week’s skills to create new and exciting websites. Pick and choose the classes you need, or come to all of them.
It is recommended that you bring a laptop computer. If you don’t have one, please contact us in advance and we will try to arrange one for you.

-building an offline website with sub pages. Includes basic text tags, links and images, intro CSS.
WEEK TWO – August 18 | HTML & CSS continued
-div tags and specified CSS
-uploading using FTP and editing online
-meta tags
WEEK THREE – August 25 | Images, forms, Java
-sizing images for web and image file types
-favicons
-finding forms
-borrowing javascripts
WEEK FOUR – September 1 | video and web
-preparing video for web
-Quicktime
-Youtube, Vimeo and flash (NOTE: this is not a class on making video with flash, we will only discuss its applications)
WEEK FIVE – September 8 | Open workshop
-bring in your projects and we’ll work on them!
